Think Like Butch Cassidy
Hello,
The Sundance Kid told Butch Cassidy, “You just keep on thinking, Butch; that’s what you’re good at.”
Now is the time you should take a pointer from Sundance. As an owner or business manager, you have your end-of-year results in hand, all the information you need to understand where your business is now, and it’s time to do some serious thinking.
What changes are occurring in how you generate revenue? What are the expenses, sales sourcing and assets and the key metrics of the business?
Are you deploying your assets and marketing efforts in a way that makes sense with operating trends?
Is each segment of your business profitable?
Are there alternative approaches that you should consider to enhance your business?
I believe now is the time for you to analyze changes in your balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and key performance and financial ratios. Consider the results and compare how you’re doing to the industry, your internal budgets and your expectations. This will sharpen your focus, keep you true to your course and build the value of your business
If you could use objective assistance in this undertaking, give me a call. For my part, I’ll try to live up to what Butch said to Sundance, “I got vision and the rest of the world wears bifocals.”
Let me bring my experience to bear for your benefit.
Regards,
